RoomDao is a blockchain driven platform for small local tourist services providers. It gives small companies access to a big pool of clients, and offers tourists cheaper rates.

How it works:

RoomDao focuses on small local business that often lack funding for marketing on a big scale and are therefore hard to find. While charges a 23% cut, RoomDao offers the platform for free.

The platform offers full range of tourism connected services, accommodation, taxis, renting a car and guided tours. It connects service providers with customers directly, reducing the cost.

RoomDao platform features a real estate sharing or renting system, country guides, rating system, video call software and a payment system that accepts and converts both crypto and fiat. Users’ activity like participation in the rating system is monetized to give them an incentive. All transactions are conducted via smart contracts, using internal wallets.


Basically, RoomDao is taken to the next level. It makes significant improvements in the booking system, expanding it and bringing down cost and effort spent on tourism related activity.

RDC is a utility token of the platform. All payments within the system are conducted using this token. If a payment is made via other cryptocurrency, or fiat currency, the sum is automatically converted into RDC. Granted the system gathers enough users, the demand for RDC will go up together with its price. It will be rather liquid too.

The problem that may arise is seasonal fluctuations in price, if the company targets too small an area. This can be fought by expanding the project’s geography.

Works on development of the platform began in January 2018, in May the team will release a beta version. In September beta versions of renting and sharing parts of the system will be launched, launch of rating, blogs and events extensions being planned on December 2018.

In February 2019 RoomDao will be fully launched, in March the marketing campaign starts.

RoomDao has a well thought out approach to marketing. It uses both referral program and door-to-door marketing to reach a wider audience. Since most small business owners are not tech savvy, RoomDao will pay token holders to recruit local ambassadors who would speak with local businesses and sign them up to the system.

The platform does not have a fee from supplier’s income, but charges for listing high number of services, for advertising on the platform and has a 2% exchange fee.

CEO has 18 years of experience in international tourism. CTO has over 10 years of experience in his field. Marketing manager’s career spans across 15 years that she spent in PR and  mass media. Business development manager is a former of one of the biggest sweets manufacturers in CIS.

The advisory board features a marketing professional, a travel advisors with 25 years of experience, a cybersecurity expert and a legal advisor. The last one, however, seems to be fresh from the university. Her LinkedIn account only features vague information on her experience, but she is confirmed to have finished courses on blockchain regulation law

in one of the best universities in Russia.

RoomDao competes against established giants of the industry like, but the features it offers are more beneficial for the customers and hoteliers than those of its rivals. More so, it targets an unseen market of small service providers that are not mentioned on rival sites. This means RoomDao has pretty good odds for success.
